Hi im Sid and I am English, but I am amazed that the USA is still considered to be a third world country.I have been visiting the USA on business for the last 15 years and I have seen it grow into a modern and more affluent country, so I believe it should have this unwanted tag taken from it. Perhaps its because they walk about bare footed, I dont know but I think it should be changed.

I think it,s because they are very poor and have little money and few natural resources left Sid
i never thought that and I live in the USA. I thought we were one of the richest most successful countries. And that was the reason so many people hates us for the rich americans greed. Maybe its because our economy is bad if it has been a recent tag on us. If we were a third world country the whole time then well i don't know what to say. But right now we are in a recession so if that has something to do with it that could be the case. In my opinion as a 3rd world country we don't have it so bad as the African counties or the middle eastern countries or mexico. Maybe because compared to many other countries this country is fairly young we are like maybe a little over 225 or something. But to tell you the truth I had never heard this before in my life. I ALWAYS get reminded that we are lucky to have a life style like we do and no to abuse it or take it for granted, So this is really odd. Where did you find this out I'd like to check it out. I mean there is poverty in our country but it isn't bad enough to make us a 3rd world country. Maybe which is what I think is most likely you got invalid Information.

It is because per capita it is not a rich country at all, only a handful of americans are rich. They have similar health system as African countries.

Yes, the US should not be considered third world country, it is second and half world country. So when are you going to remove England from the sixth world countries list?
