Systems Analysis & Design?

Information technology has advanced dramatically in recent years. At the same time, enormous changes in the business world have occurred as companies reflect global competition and more pressure for quality, speed, and customer service. Did the new technology inspire the business changes, or was it the other way around?
Systems Analysis %26amp; Design?
To some extend the new technology has brought change to the business world. People are forced to change there business tackticks as there clients, customer want them to.

Look at mobiles, new models with new features are attracting the new generation, but the old people are forced to use or use new mobiles as old ones are either unrepairable or discontinued.

I think u get the general idea
Systems Analysis %26amp; Design?
Chicken and egg scenario. Of course hard and software developers want to keep getting money, so keep making bigger and better things for us to blow our money on.....which has enabled companies to improve their Q,S+C, but any business half worth its salt should have given a lot of attention to that anyway, whether now or 100 years ago.
It is almost like one has driven the other. For instance, IT advancements in some products/applications/services have increased their value and ROI. This makes them have a competitive advantage over similar products/services offered by its peers. A competing industry takes a look at this and decides to implement this model, leading to a business change. The bottom line obviously is to lower the cost without sacrificing quality. Another competing industry decides to innovate more on this leading to advances in IT.
