Can you help me about the meaning or message of this Desiderata 1?
It麓s very choppy and each sentence seems to be relating to something that has nothing to do with the sentence before it, which makes it very hard to sum up. Although it seems kind of self-explanatory. You may just want to read through a few more times for it to stick. Here, however, are the basics as best I can do:
Just chill. Don麓t let the people in your life get you down. Know that everyone has something to offer you if you麓re willing to listen. Sometimes things that seem empty can hold a lot of meaning if you just take the time to contemplate it. Love YOU. No matter what you do, or where you stand next to others. Love yourself and be real. Try to see the beauty in the world and let god guide you through it.
Basically, don麓t let the world get you down, be at peace with yourself, and strive to be happy. Don麓t let ambition cloud your judgement. Happiness is all that matters.
be satisfied and contented. For it is a nature, that someone will always be superior or inferior to you. I
A large copy of this hangs on my living roon wall and I try to live my life accordingly. It's self-explanatory, however, if you'd ask a more specific question ( which passage(s)?, I'd be happy to try to help you understand.
I have always loved this also and most of my life have had a copy on hand. I hadn't read it in quite a while tho and as I read it I became aware that a wonderful sense of calm was coming over me. (My world is somewhat chaotic just now, so I thank you for that).
I know it can seem a little choppy but it is just so much wisdom on the head of a pin. Very pithy. It's wonderful. I hope you will keep it on hand and continue to read it. It will speak to you in many different ways as you do.
Blessings to you
What do you want it broken down into a short paragraph for.
It is beautiful.
The understanding of it is in the living of it.
One can not give wisdom to someone.
The wisdom is there for you to find.
It is quite self explantory if ones takes the time and puts in the effort.
It's not choppy. Each line should be interpreted by itself and should stand alone. The first line %26quot;Go placidly amid the noise and haste and remember what peace there is in silence.%26quot; In other words, as you make your way each day in a world filled with noise and distraction, try do it with an inner serenity and calm. And as you do this, stay in the mindset of peace which is best achieved by remaining silent. In other words: %26quot;Silence is golden.%26quot; When people meditate, they are silent and the practise of meditation brings peace and tranquility into your life. Holy places are usually silent. Spiritual people are usually quiet people.
The Desiderata contains many pearls of wisdom like this in each line. It is like a short, insightful guide to life. So after you digest the first line, when you read the second one, take it as a completely new thought. And do the same with each line thereafter. Once you do that it will have deeper meaning for you. Often, one line will resonate with you and stay with you for awhile. Then another will take its place. The point is to read it often and let the energy it radiates bring blessings into your life.
