Because North America was going to lose the power of growth and the world could not feed itself without our free government of food and farms, including Mexico and Canada. The population in America is heavy and the birth rate has not gone down it is growing strong, so there you have it in a nut shell. They were telling the truth and now they all have adjoined at the hip to cover their misdealings and errors. Fear of blame the biggest disease these politicians suffer from besides greed, and ego deflation. ha ha I forgot, this is one of the reasons the Chavez and Caestro thing is escalating? And that is the whole reason that when Caestro found out that he was in harms way would not negotiate with anyone but Jimmy Carter? Caestro has played us like a tune with Carter. 1.no The polar ice caps have been shrinking for 6000 years, what if anything, is anybody going to do about ? Are you going to quit driving cars, flying airplanes, producing electrical power? Shall we all start riding horses and bicycles? Thirty years ago the fear was we were going to freeze to death. There are studys out there that say the Antartic ice shelves are actually getting thicker. As far as Kyoto Agreement , Australia has not it signed either. Are they in the oil business? I think its all a bunch of bs, most of the scientist perfoming these studies are funded by the worlds governments, of course their going to fan the flames of fear just to get more funding. What Bush is doing is protecting our economy and our way of life.
